There were more than 86,000 private cars in Eindhoven at 31 December 2004. Eindhoven Airport handled almost 700 thousand passengers, and the bus companies transported a total of 14,300,000 passengers. On an average working day, an average of 44,500 passengers boarded or left trains at one of the two Eindhoven stations.
