Student Life

Your student time is an ideal period to gain extra knowledge and skills that don't form part of your study program, but which can be useful later. For example by increasing the breadth or depth of your studies, or taking a position on the committee of a student association. Or perhaps contributing to the organization of the European Week. Click here for more information (part in Dutch, part in English).

Student associations organize activities that are sometimes instructive, but always enjoyable and entertaining. You'll get to know other people in no time in a student association. There's a choice of student associations in Eindhoven, each with its own character. See for yourself at http://w3.tue.nl/nl/navigatie/portals/studentenverenigingen/ (in Dutch).

Fontys International Student Association (FISA) is a student organization representing about 1000 international students attending the Fontys universities in the Netherlands.
FISA aims to promote social and cultural exchange between international students at the Fontys universities in Eindhoven, Tilburg and Venlo.

Some schools have their own students union, which organizes different activities for students.

There are a range of associations based at the TU/e which are also open to international students from Fontys, for example ISN.
ISN Eindhoven is an international student association that arranges meetings and all kinds of activities in and around Eindhoven. Some of the regular activities are weekend excursions to parts of the Netherlands and Belgium, and evening activities, like bowling and barbecues.
For more information on ISN activities, visit: www.tue.nl/isn

It's also worth taking a look at Study & Education, Higher and scientific education, student associations.
