You can expect a high quality level of cultural facilities in a city with a population of around 210,000. In the last fifteen years the city has made big investments in improving and extending the existing facilities. The result: a brand-new music center, a new ‘middenzaal' for the city's theater (‘Stadsschouwburg'), and a new podium for specific kinds of pop music. But of course you can also make your own music or (learn to) act.
The Brabants Orchestra
The Brabants Orchestra are the resident performers in the large hall of the Frits Philips Music Center. Led by their chief conductor Marc Soustrot or by guest conductors, the orchestra gives around a hundred concerts each season, both in Brabant and beyond, around thirty of them in Eindhoven itself.
