You can expect a high quality level of cultural facilities in a city with a population of around 210,000. In the last fifteen years the city has made big investments in improving and extending the existing facilities. The result: a brand-new music center, a new ‘middenzaal' for the city's theater (‘Stadsschouwburg'), and a new podium for specific kinds of pop music. But of course you can also make your own music or (learn to) act.

The Creative City. That's what Strijp S, a former Philips complex right at the heart of Eindhoven, will be. The 27 hectare site will combine residential, working, leisure and cultural facilities. In the future, Strijp S will form the stage for numerous concerts and other cultural events. To find out more about the plans, visit http://www.strijp-s.nl/ (in Dutch).
