You can expect a high quality level of cultural facilities in a city with a population of around 210,000. In the last fifteen years the city has made big investments in improving and extending the existing facilities. The result: a brand-new music center, a new ‘middenzaal' for the city's theater (‘Stadsschouwburg'), and a new podium for specific kinds of pop music. But of course you can also make your own music or (learn to) act.
Muzikantenvereniging Paraplu
For more than twenty years this musicians' association has been the heart and soul of performing musicians, whether amateur, semi-professional or professional.
